Mobil 1 0W-40 No Longer Meets BMW LL-01

Just heads up:

Seems like Mobil1 has reformulated their oil yet again. The 0W-40 European Engine oil has lost it's BMW LL-01 certification.

If you can still find bottles that meet that spec on the stores, they are likely leftover from the old formulation.

Thanks for the reminder.

Here's a thread that talked about it in depth:

Very old news. And at least according to Mobil, it didn't change its formulation, but rather BMW changed the LL-01 spec.

That oil is still perfectly fine.

Yes BMW changed the LL-01 spec which is "pay me more money if you wanna have our label". Mobil 1 said, screw you we got nascar.
