Question Rogue IKON Exhaust owners

For those of you who own the IKON exhaust on your e90/e92 any regrets or complaints?

I'm thinking about picking up this unit and my budget limits me to $600 for spending purposes otherwise there would be no doubt that I'd buy the Performance Exhaust.

Just trying to see if people still use this exhaust system and if they still have it on their car

Nope. I love it so very much. Its worth noting that I had no resonator when I got it installed already, but my ikon muffler and my resonator delete gave me what I view as the absolute perfect sound for this car. I genuinely prefer the tone to the performance exhaust, and that's not just because I couldn't afford it haha.

Love it and would never trade it. European style growl and sporty sound when I am driving it one way, mild and well behaved when I want it to be. 0 issues with police and everyone else loves it.

WIN:WIN.

$0. Buddy is good at welding. It's just a muffler so really they make 1 cut and then weld it on. Any shop that does exhaust work should give you a very good price on something this simple. I highly suggest this exhaust.

Are there any discernible drone issues for those that have this exhaust? Especially cruising at highway speeds for a while.

I've had mine for 8 months. Like it a lot. Noticeable high end gains and improved throttle response. My car has an automatic transmission so the low end noise is a bit annoying, I just drive it in DS mode to help the engine stay around 3000rpm while cruising. One thing that bothers me though is that the driver side tips gets all the exhaust dirt while the other one stays clean.

Why change your AA? It sounds better and the drone you get from IKON will be similar if not in more RPM ranges.

Did you have an Ikon before?

The low rpm drone is not bad but it just resonates more inside the cabin. Love the mid to high rpm tone.

Really

I rode in a car with the AA, worse drone @ 2500 rpm that I have heard from ANY exhaust. So basically, you get to hear the drone thru most of your driving cruise range.

My Ikon didn't have any perceptible drone, and out of all the exhausts I have had, I would rate sound quality (from best to worst) as:

BMW PE
RE Ikon
Magnaflow
Remus Quad

Did you notice low end torque loss without the resonator?

Yes, the drone at 2.5k is quite loud. For the AA it is only for a brief moment when you are in that range. I cruise around 1.6-1.8k at around 60km/h. There is no drone in this range at all.

No one cruise at that speed here, though.

Cut off the stock pipe and installed the Rogue ICON about 6 mos. ago. Also performed a post-cat-ectomy (secondary cats gone).... and retained the OEM resonator. Absolutely exceeds my expectations. Sounds fantastic with a nice deep burble. Has mellowed with age and sounds better with each passing day.

Enjoy!!

So, has anyone done a resonator delete but kept the performance exhaust? Any power loss on low end torque with that setup?

Did the secondary cat delete affect the oxygen sensors? Not sure if they are placed near there.
