2011 328i Door lock question? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I just picked up a 2011 328i for my wife. When unlocking the doors the lights flash. When locking the doors the lights flash. No noise though. Is there a way to get a beep or horn verification when I lock the doors? Any help would be great.

Not without installing and activating the full alarm system.

There is no siren present.

Please search as this is one of the most common questions and has a bunch of threads about it already.

Is the car pre wired for a alarm?

Even though it has the red bulb (dome) under the rear view mirror?Is it something the dealer can do?

Nope.
Best solution is adding an aftermarket alarm with can functions if you did not order your 2011 with alarm unfortunately.

There are those out there that have installed the full alarm and wiring in their non prewired car but its expensive and not a simple DIY for most.
