E92 USB Audio Interface - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I purchased a 2008 E92 last weekend with a USB audio interface. I order a cable from eBay which arrived today to connect my 80GBiPod classic. This cable

The music plays and works with the steering wheel controls but it doesn't display track names or albums on the iDrive display. Here's a photo.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong.

LCI?

HHD CIC?

I suspect not.

I have and it looks nothing like mine.

I use the standard apple cable and get full ipod functionality including album art.

For LCI 3 series the normal apple cable works fine. No need for any special one.

I bought the wrong cable. Doh'

I'll try my standard apple cable and see if that works.

I've just tried my apple USB cable and everything works fine. I can't get album art to work though.

You won't get it to show your album art. Only the latest idrive system supports this. Not even my 58 plate with HDD nav does this

Oh ok. No big deal but it would of been nice.

Seems to but I hardly use it (use the music centre)

But I have a spare cable to charge from the cig lighter if necessary.
