Man, I hope I can come see it at the strip sometime - I actually left work early today and could have made it out. When do you think you'll be back?

Shiv, would love to see your car run here on the east coast in good weather, i think it would pick up a lot.

No way. 129mph on stock turbos? Not possible without nitrous.

Aren't those 2nd gear brake boost launches terribly rough on the tranny and tc?

Depends on how hard you mash it. there's a stall limit of 2700 RPM anyway.

I guess you would know best with all your hp. I wonder if my issue is because I'm awd and not getting any wheel spin at all when I do 2nd gear launches. How high do you brake boost to in 2nd. Like 2k?

Nice runs from both cars. But damn I love the way Shiv's car sounds. That spool sounds sick!

On street tires? I don't even mash it off the line.

This is an awesome run, but the known stock turbo trap record is 11.3 @ 125mph done back in February by BMS. The stock turbo E.T. record is 11.2 @ 123mph the same day.

***Edited to show two different runs***

Their 135 ran a 11.259@122.86 by the looks of it. For some reason it wasn't up on drag times. Only their 11.389@125.24 was posted up there. My apologies... then it looks like yesterday's results are an e9x record, not an overall n54 record. Hopefully, we can do a little better in the winter or with a lighter car.

Based on Stock 335 vs 135 Mfr Curb weight comparison, the 135 is
171 pounds lighter than the 335 from the start. There is no real way to make up that differance with the 335. My car has seats out and Carbon Fiber trunk. I assume the same if not more of the above mentioned.

3373 for 135i
3593 for e90 335i

Add a few lbs for the auto since it weighs more. Also more weight for various options

Yeah, our 335's are at a disadvantage when it comes to weight. Very impressive run! Obvioisly some good driving to run that E.T. with a 122.8 trap.

Yes so deduct 1.5-2 mph from a comparable 135i. Just remember the 335i both 90 and 92 will start pulling on a 135i due to aero. 135i aero is .34 335i aero is .30.

Are you serious? I'm suprised the drag CE is that different between the two. I would assume that shorter ass-end on the 135 is the problem.

Lol look at the front of a 135i. A brick is more aerodynamic than that car.
