Thanks FrankiE90, that helps greatly.

Does anyone have a quick photo (or can upload a photo) of the vacuum line from the boost solenoid (jb connector 4) supposedly this is fairly easy to reach from above in the engine bay.......... I need to tie into this and check it at idle.... I believe it's supposed to be 23 at idle... Anyone??? Thx

did you try doing a compression test/smoke test? I had a wrx with a boost leak and got that done. Saved me a lot of time chasing down the leak.

Hope you get this sorted out Rob..keep us updated..

How do boost leaks happen anyway? Too much boost that the vacuum lines get disconnected?

The smoke test was done @ BMW but their machine only does 7 psi.... no results. I am trying to find a 3 psi loss... I normally push 17.5 psi and I'm around 15 right now. There may be an issue with my tune. Terry is working with me, but I've replaced nearly everything else and tested everything. This is what Terry is asking me to measure, I need to locate the vacuum line from the boost solenoid.... I cannot (with certainty) locate it.... this blows (pun intended). No dyno until I resolve this.

Is this problem causing your boost gauge not to read properly? I'm having the same issues but when I get on it. It seem to be boosting what it should on map 2
