Question Smoke on Deceleration coming to a stop Help!

After a cold start and when my oil is still warm, sometimes when i pull up to a stop sign i get a puff of whiteish smoke out my exhaust. Smells like oil. I cannot figure out what is causing it to save my life. Car has 29k miles and i just replaced the PCV and the pcv2 valve from RB turbos. It seems to happen more in the warm weather.. The car boosts fine and holds strong. Could this be carbon build up issues? What else?

I have the bms occ also...

If you have a occ and still get smoke, theres a big chance its the turbo seals.

I am also having same problem since I upgraded the turbo's. Was planning on putting secondary cats back in to see if that helps. Car also pulls and holds boost perfectly just the smoking can be embarrassing.

Any way to get the dealer to notice / replace the turbos?

No. My turbos were blown for a long time, and I didn't know until I went fully cat less and my car was smoking occasionally.

what are the Cons to blown turbo seals? just smoking? no performance decreases? so if you can handle the smoke or leave the cats on to cover the smoke, then its really not necessary to replace the turbos?

I'm pretty sure mine were blown since I bought the car at 15k miles. The reason I believe so is that my car has been drinking oil since I got it. At one point it would take a quart every 800 miles. I didn't get the turbos replaced until around 40k miles or so. It doesn't affect performance, it just drinks oil. I'm not a mechanic so I won't tell you it's "unnecessary" to replace them, but mine were fine for the 25k miles I believe they were blown. The only problems I had were smoke and drinking oil.

For those of you who have cars drinking oil, get your turbos checked out and possibly replaced while you still have warranty.

If your car is puffing out clouds of white smoke and it smells like oil, obviously there's a leak somewhere. Might not be the turbos, but it's obviously leak related. Definitely nothing to do with carbon build up.

Yeah it has to be very small ( the puff of smoke is not large and only happens when cold and coming to a stop then goes away) or inside the pcv system there may be some oil left over.
