No problem. And yeah, it was more than enough to tuck in behind. Had quite a bit of excess on some of the piecesYou don't really have that much room to tuck behind though because of the vents or clips or bolts/screws.

This looks amazing!
I found this topic while searching, I really want to change my siliver trim to black.

Would you mind linking to the topic/guide that showed you how to do this?
Am worried it will just end up with loads of bubbles/creases.
Is this the kind of thing you ordered?

I can tell you that yes that's what he used.

You won't end up with bubbles because of the materials, however corners will be a bit challenging if you're doing this for the first time. I'd order likely what OP did (5x3 feet) and you'll have plenty to work with. I did mine with 5x2 so that extra space will do you good.

It looks great. I am thinking of changing my burl wood trim to a 3M Silver Gloss on my 2009 E92. It should make a nice contrast to my black leather seating.

How hard was it to remove all of the trims? I had a very difficult time removing the center console trim.

How long did the whole project take?

It wasn't that hard to remove the other trims. Just the centre was a PITA.

Took me around 6 hrs for everythingg

I don't recall what I used. You should just play around with some extra pieces and try it on a corner on one of the trim pieces as the corners are the hard part. Make sure to use a heat gun and for trim removal, just check in the DIY section for replacing trim.

As for the actual wrapping part, when first initially putting it on, make sure you pull on the ends of the vinyl tightly as it may have some static (just to prevent it from sticking to itself). start pressing down from center out. Just try to remove all creases and bubbles. As for corners, heat the vinyl for a few seconds, let it sit for 2 seconds and then stretch it a bit to make it smooth around the corner. (If you stretch while heating, you may actually make a hole in the vinyl.)
