Engine malfunction

Hello everyone,

I have a 2008 335xi JB+ set at 75% and Dual cone intake.....I have had the exhaust mod where you unplug the cable in the trunk area every since i got my car.

The other day this light came on...Engine malfunction.... I turned the car off and back on and drove off....

My car is still under warranty I brought it in to the dealer and they said that the exhaust cable set it off?

Has anyone heard of this before?

Thanks

It didn't set it off. The dealer is looking for an excuse. Pull off all your mods and bring it to a different dealer, and tell them I got an engine light. They will fix it under warranty.

+1. Make sure you take your crap off when you bring it to the dealer. Also would help to know what code you were throwing to get a better idea as to what actually caused it.
