Planning on Disconnecting the Battery... Will I need to re-code my car?
Hey party people,
I was searching around but all I found were coding new battery info. However, what I'm wondering is that if I disconnect my battery (because I plan on installing a sub in my trunk), will this erase the features have that been unlocked from coding? Or will everything retain... Thanks! |

Your coding will stay there despite of disconnecting the battery.
And I am speaking from personal experience.

No but there may be some temporary errors.
No but there may be some temporary errors.
If you have x drive it has and error which clears when you drive the car(not that far like a block). You loose your trip computer data and the time of day and the heat cooling system(for people) comes up turned off . Hit any button on the temp control to restart. Also it will reset the adaption values if you have and automatic transmission it will have to re adapt to your driving. |
