Steering wheel swap

Actually I have non-sport package.. so I dont have any paddles on my car....
Regular SW --- 2008 335xi AT

If I want to have some paddles what should I buy ???

1. Steering Wheel
Ex :
http://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/BMW-Stee...77a3c8&vxp=mtr

2. BMS paddle shift Retrofit
Ex:
http://www.burgertuning.com/paddleshift.html

3. A kit of paddle shift ?
Ex:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-07-12-E8...ac899b&vxp=mtr

Is that all?
Is that plug and play ?
Is there any steering, paddles that will not fit ?
???
What I need to know before switching wheel?

Thanks !!

No, it looks to be the paddles removed from the actual switches.
You need the complete paddles.
I can sell you an OEM wheel and paddles.
You will still need the airbag, buttons and trim.
But I can sell you the stuff for a reasonable price.
The paddles are the push/pull type.

Disconnect the battery before doing anything with the wheel!!!!!!
You do not want the airbag to deploy!!!!!!

Get in touch with Evan at Tischer. He will use your vin and tell you what parts you need and at a great price. Just email him at the getbmwparts website. Mine took an hour to swap using the DIY on here. There were two of them. One was better as it showed where you need to poke the clips to disengage them. And disengage the negative battery terminal. This was what took the longest to do for me as to get at it you need to take apart a bunch of trunk trim in a vert. If mine was a coupe, 30 min.

If you have non-sport right now and are switching to a sport wheel, you'll need a sport airbag also.

That alone has been preventing me from doing the sport wheel swap ($400-500 for an airbag alone).

I have a sport wheel with paddles for sale.
I went with a different wheel and DCT paddles, so I have the original sport wheel and paddles.

PM me if anyone want them.

I'm surprised this company refuse to share the installation guide prior to purchase and say you can't get a digital copy. So you're meant to buy it without knowing what the installation involves?

Installation of the wiring harness is easy. I bought a Burger harness and it was easy. The instructions they sent just show how to route the wiring harness from the steering wheel to the gear shift. You have to take off the SW obviously and the Steering column cover and some other odds and ends, but very simple.

All the info to diy this is on here if you do some searching. IMO, $150 for the burger harness is ridiculous. The wiring is pretty simple and one guy even posted instructions for making your own plug and play harness if you dont want to cut/splice and wires.

Wheels with paddles, buttons, and trim can be had on ebay for cheap so your main problem will be finding a sport airbag for a reasonable price.

check prices vs www.getbmwparts.com vs ebay. they also have airbags. I wouldn't cheap out on something that can kill you. if you're dead you can't be alive anymore.
