I think as far as colors, your options 99% of the time are black or shade of gray, including silver.
Depends on your interior I guess. For wraps, just google interior wrap E9x. tons of threads.

Had carbon got sick of it(everyone does it) You can wrap whatever color you like I think white looks nice on black!
![]() A lil hard to keep clean but dirt rubs right off on matte surface

Yea think it depends on a few things -- what kind of look you're going for
What color is your interior now? I have Jet Black E90 328i preLCI w/Grey leather interior.....it had the walnut burl trim -- I covered it all w/3M 1080 high gloss black - MUCH better! Shoot a pic of your interior and post it up here and I'm sure you'll get suggestions....I didn't want CF either - it's overplayed for my liking... I was going to do mine with a metallic blue since I'm a Cowboys fan (ducks!) but wasn't sure it would have looked good so went w/black |

Brushed steel 1080 3M. That's how I did mine over black dakota leather, stunning!

I was between this and piano black. Decided on the Brushed Steel since piano black wrap does not look identical to a painted trim, it is harder to keep clean, and scratches easily. Very happy with my choice.

Any recommendations for what would match nicely with the saddle brown interior?

+2, where did you get it from? Easy vinyl to work with? Is this the same stuff? http://www.amazon.com/3M-Scotchprint.../dp/B005AVKIB0 And how much would I need to do the wrap?

Is this the same stuff? http://www.amazon.com/3M-Scotchprint.../dp/B005AVKIB0 And how much would I need to do the wrap? Yes, that is the same stuff. I did not do the wrapping myself, since I considered the work was worth the $130 they charged me. Although I did not wrapped it myself, I was a full week with two sample strips that I moved through the whole trim. I think its a very easy material to work with. I don't think you even need a heat gun since the material just sticks as contact paper, but you still should ask about this last point. Gl!!!!

one of the things i will do next. But right now i have no idea what wrap. Carbon is cool but every car has the carbon look.
If i had a back interior i would go white. Looks really good! But with grey interior & blue car? Maybe i will try blue to match the outside color.

I did the gloss black 3M 1080 and got it from metrorestyling on eBay Very fast shipping and great to deal with Looks good w/grey interior... Quote:
but my exterior is Jet Black -- I kind of wanted to do a blue on interior, mainly because I'm a Cowboys fan lol and if my exterior was blue I would have Black just seemed logical choice I haven't found that it scratched easily like someone else pointed out I would say you do see fingerprints on it if you happen to smudge them across the vinyl for some reason so I try not to touch it lol But I'm VERY pleased with how it came out vs the wood trim - definitely much better Good thing about the vinyl is it's pretty inexpensive (spent $50 and had plenty to spare - which I would recommend if you've never done it before) and you can always change it later if you see something else you like Good luck |

Hmmm...I briefly considered doing this vs the high gloss black vinyl...
I just couldn't justify the time it would take to do it and I wasn't 100% sold on how it would come out, especially with my lack of painting skills.... Vinyl is just easier to do and I think the look vs time involved etc would be about the same.... In a perfect world I guess I'd get the black set from Tishcer for about $450 but I like that I can pretty easily change mine down the road if I decide to Don't think I've ever seen anyone paint their actual trim and have it look very good - on this forum or any other but maybe I'm wrong... |

Well, if you had it professionally done, that's another story..... Did they clear coat it also? If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you? |
