:: ECS Tuning :: N52/N54/N55 Oil Filter Cap Removal Tool

The pros know. Doing the job right means having the right tools.

BMW owners who demand the best for their motorcars will appreciate the Schwaben oil filter housing removal socket. Unlike ham-fisted techniques using adjustable pliers or other improvised tools, the Schwaben socket is designed to grip the cartridge filter housing cleanly and securely to prevent cosmetic damage. Made of durable lightweight aluminum, the socket has a 26mm hex-head protrusion for easy turning with an end wrench or socket.

Unhappy Stuck

Dude...I just tried to change my oil with this tool. The thing is totally stuck onto my oil filter housing and I cannot get it out. I will call you guys tomorrow to get an RMA. I had to go to BMW to buy a new housing unit for $60 something bucks plus a whole new oil filter kit because I am afraid the big o ring seal is now liable to leaks...total for trusting this schwaben tool to change oil

=11.54 oil filter kit (secs)
16.95 oil filter cap removal tool

65.40 for new oil cap
15.90 for new oil filter kit with o rings

Total: $109.79 (without oil yet)

You guys will be receiving a Schwaben tool with an e93 oil filter cap stuck to it. I hope that you have a policy of compensation for damages incurred from use of the products you sell...I hope Schwaben does...I hope somebody does. I have to finish this job tonight so I can go to work in the morning, otherwise, I would wait for you to pry that thing away and send me my now cosmetically messed up oil filter cap.

I tried liquid wrench, then had a friend and myself try to pull it apart, then used flat heads to try to pry them apart...no luck. Here the pics below.

Hope to hear from you soon.
