Reads as if they are re-doing the menus and commands but there is nothing in this short description that would indicate that the actual function of the navigation will be fixed to make it at least equal to capability of my 3 year old $120 Garmin. Also I guess not coming to the regular 3 series.

Our company is already working on the newer NBT (this is the name for the newer Nav system) kits. We will be offering these retrofits later this year to all of our F-Series systems customers. New Nav system looks amazing and provides lots of functionalities introduced by BMW for the first time

I don't know what the native resolution of the F3x display is relative to the E9x. However since the E9x iDrive platform was used on the 2012 F3x, it would stand to reason that it might be possible to do an E9x retrofit to this system. Thoughts Alex?

I would also think that there is a new combox controller as well.
