Dimsum - Mtec V3 Angel Eye + Coding Review

Hey Guys,
I just finished installing my new Mtec V3 Angel eye bulb I bought through Dimsum (http://************.com/) and I have to say I am VERY happy with the purchase! The install was a snap, just had to remove the front wheel and wheel arch plastic. Everything was plug and play and required no extra wiring or modules. The difference from stock is staggering, see pic below! I snapped some pics from my iphone which obviously don't do it any justice. The lights are bright even in the day, I can't wait to see what they look like at night!

I also had Dimsum do some coding to remove the amber and add some extra nice features:

-AC doesn't automatically turn on when you press the AUTO button
-Close all windows, sunroof and fold the mirrors from the key fob, which is SUCH a nice feature.

All and all I am happy with the transaction, though I do warn that Dimsum does travel a lot and may not always be available.

Yes so long as you have power folding mirrors installed.

No they are not, the camera seemed to give it a blue tint. In person they are very white. The picture above it captures the colour much more accurately.

Just curious, I thought car manufacturers made the A/C come on when you press the auto button all the time so even in the winter your A/C compressor will kick in so the system can cycle?

Also, anyone know how to grease up the power folding mirrors? I use mine all the time with the key fob and notice now they're making more noise than usual and the passenger side folds slower than the driver's side...

Does this AE kit use LED or regular bulb? I have PIAA LED ones at the moment but they are not nearly as bright.

My understanding is that the AC kicks on automatically for dehumidification/cooling in case your setpoint is lower than the actual cabin temperature. Everything that I have read is that is is not good to run the AC for short periods of time as it can damage the compressor, thus why I wanted it coded out.

Let me know if you found out about the folding mirrors. Mine are starting to make a little noise as well. Thx

Unfortunately no luck so far. This weekend I may finally spend some time with the car. Haven't even really looked at it twice since I bought it and still have to finish installing bluetooth, 3-stage intake manifold, and one of my LED angel eyes blew already. (annoying). I'll take a look at the mirrors while I'm at it. I had power folding on my e36 and was able to grease the mechanism with the mirrors tilted towards the floor. Hopefully it's similar on the e90.
