I think the following won't be too far from the mark:
Part Exchange: £14500 - £15000 Private sale: £15500 - £16500

Sorry to Hi-Jack the thread but can I ask ss134, what have you based your part exchange values on?
I have a Oct 09 325i M-Sport E90 and at the moment through webuyanycar, it is showing as worth £12k. I do realise that this site will always undervalue but even say they are undervaluing it by £1k is the original posters 320d worth £1.5k to £2k more that my 325i? My extras are Leather Seats Heated Seats Business Sound USB Connection Tinted rear windows Split/Fold rear seats Will BMW dealers offer you more as a trade in that say Audi? I'm contemplating going up to a 5 series or Audi A6 so want to know as much as I can before I make a decision. Last edited by CH79; 06-05-2012 at 11:17 AM. |

Webuyanycar.com do give massively low valuations, generally amplified as the car becomes more expensive. Then they try to knock you down more
![]() I had better luck with webuyyourwheels.com although only by about 1k or so (on a 3.0 Grand Cherokee). Parkers still gives the best ballpark figure IMO. But no more of this depreciation lark. I'm signed up to the NHS lease scheme now for a cracking deal on my E91 Springer |

I think Private sale is about £15k. (advertise for 15.5).
Trade in will depend on which dealer (i.e BMW or other), and what you are buying. It is all about cost to change. I would see a valuation from WBAC to be nothing more than a rock bottom indication of trade in (and as others have said they will try and chip more off when you get there). |

Dont forget its obsolete now, so expect an increasing price drop as the new 3er appears on the used markets over the next year or two. Best get shot asap.

I based my part exchange value on PARKERS USED CAR VALUATION - their prices have always been spot on when i have been selling cars to dealers and also by looking at similar cars for sale from BMW AUC and deducting a dealer mark up %. The OPs 320d is definately worth a decent premium over your 325i assuming both cars are in similar condition with average miles. Parkers has the price difference at around £2000 in favour of the 320d - thats the price youve paid for having a sweet petrol engine instead of a dirty derv I am about to experience the same thing later this year when i sell my car. Different dealers will give different prices so ring around to get the best price possible.
