Software Update?

I have a 2007 328i e90 bought it in Jan 2011 i was wondering if i need to get a software update?

What differences would it make?

Also ever since i bought the car the TPMS Malfunction has been on the yellow flashing light they said it would go away when i bought it, however that wasnt the case the blamed it on the cold weather at the time..long story short would a software update fix this?

A malfunctioning TPMS sensor will not be fixed by any software update. The malfucntion could be caused by different things. It could be fixed IF the problem lies in the software.
Are you saying that you have had the TPMS warning for more than a year?

This.

I believe there was a change in the type of TPMS sensors from direct to the indirect type. MY2007-MY2009 may still be compatible, but I believe the compatibility ends with the new indirect type TPMS sensors introduces in MY2010 and higher.

I have a 2008 e90 328i and I've had a couple software updates.

One nice change I noticed is that if the TPMS detects a low tire, the display now shows which tire is low. It didn't do that before.
