how to measure max bhp using torque app

Hi

I bought an obd adaptor which turned up today and wondered how I measure the cars max bhp? Do I need to put it on a rolling road or can I do it on that motorway? Do it need to be running at certain revs and at top speed?

Cheers

Garage List
I think you'll need a rolling road, the rollers measure the torque - no way to do that on any ordinary road.

BHP is just a function of torque and rpm, it's calculated rather than measured.

Enter your car details weight, fuel load etc then do a run on a flat bit of road.

Thanks guys

I've put in all my details and torque is coming back at around 250 ib ft so I'm guessing that is about right. It was just a quick test though and I didn't really push it.
