Can you tell me what is the best bike rack for the roof of my 2011 335i sedan.
Any pics would be great.

Best? I have Thule just cuz I've had Thule for so many years. The rubber covers for the feet marr the paint on the roof of the car, so Thule may not be best. BMW oem accessory roof racks don't have that rubber boot, so they may be best, but I don't know if Thule or Yakima carriers fit on BMW's roof racks, so you may be stuck buying BMW's carriers to fit their racks.

I like the Yakima High Roller. Anyone used this or have any knowledge on it?

Here's a shot of the OEM rack and carrier. Just installed it this week, For the price compare to Thule its a better deal but I think the Thule looks a whole lot better.

I had Yakima for my old Acura. And it was good but feet touched the roof and like other post it will leave a fine mark after a while. I now use oem rack and it's great as it doesn't touch roof paint. I do think there are adapters to use other bike racks on BMW base rack from Yakima or Thule. I didn't know this and bought BMW bike racks and sold my Yakima ones.

Thanks. Yes, I understand not wanting it to sit on the paint and do damage to it. I will check with Yakima and see if the High Roller can be put on the Factory rack.

Is there a reason why you would rack your bike backwards?? Just wondering cause I get a lot of front bike wheel shake on the highway

If I turn the bike around the clamp that holds the bike frame to the rack wont reach, If I flip it around on the passenger side it will face forward. Its still a work in progress at this time. The biggest pain was the instructions I received with the bike rack didn't come in English!
