335D EGR bypass thoughts
Lots of topics on the EGR disconnect and i recently took the opportunity of disconnecting and cleaning mine as i had renewed the intake manifold. The car has no obvious detremental effects (seems smoother) and no fault lights (three weeks since vac hose disconnected from the EGR).
I noticed you can buy a fabricated EGR bypass which i think would be good as it gets rid of the airflow restrictions, so my question to the experts do you think its worthwhile/any gains ? Last edited by new 335d m sport owner; 06-09-2012 at 02:36 PM. |

hey there, im not an expert but i disconected mine and did the same as you cleaned it up etc, and found once done i was getting even higher mpg than previous (which was high 40's low 50's), its worth keeping it with the original depending on the age of your car...........Speaking of that, im looking to 'upgrade to the 335D and need convincing its the right move, currently sporting e93 320d msport.
