E90 AT Stock- Jerky upshifting

Hi guys. When I am in D or DS mode and giving it around 50% constant throttle, the car will shift at around 5500 rpm, but I notice a jerk when this shift occurs. The car stutters for a minute, jerks, and then when in the next gear it is smooth again. I only notice it when I am probably 40% or more on the throttle. Is this normal?? My car has 17k miles, so I don't think it could be transmission fluid etc.

Any help is appreciated, thanks. It just dousn't feel right to me

fluid levels? I added an extra 3/4 qt of BMW approved AT fluid and it keeps shifting real smooth, even when its cold. I was getting a slipping clutch feel, a high rev, then a jerky shift when the car was cold. After 2o min it was smooth as butter. Now that I added a little bit more fluid, smooth all the time. 98K Changed fluid at 80K, added more about 85K and been smooth ever since.

If you're under warranty & it's that bad, take it to a Dealer & have a SA ride in the car with you. Try to replicate the jerky upshifts & see if they can look into it w/o you paying out of pocket. Good Luck.

INPA transmission adaptation reset cured all my transmission woes.

Be very carefull with gearbox adaption reset.... Adaption only recovers when your box oil reached 80 degrees celcius. Before it does not adapt. This means that your clutchplates and everything else is in suboptimal state till adaption (100km more or less) has been finished.
The gearbox software is a 3d model with 3 values. The gearbox will try to figure out the state of your internals and adjust to that. This is catched in that 3d model.
If your gearbox starts to jerk, you can try to reset and optionaly replace the oil but in any case something is giving issues in your box and that is not the software adapation. Re-adapting can temporarily solve issues, but it will not take the cause away.
Go to BMW with 17k miles... they should analyse and replace the box if required.
