Well Im looking at the ECU box right now and no sign of Burger tuning anywhere, checked for JB+ as well, nothing. It does not have an o2 sim either, factory o2's in the bungs. possible to have AA reflash? anyway to tell if I do?

It almost has to have a tune, it pulls way harder then my 135 did with JB4, intake, and exhaust, we will see I guess lol.

Thanks for all the input guys, really appreciate it so far.

it could be cobb flashed. cobb prevents CEL lights on stage 2 and 2+ maps. i have no idea why someone wouldn't uninstall the cobb [unless they didn't want the CEL to prevent them from selling/trading in the car]

also, the o2 sim would be in the ecu compartment. it might be hidden, it's just 4 or 6 wires with a small black unit at the end of the wires.

no black unit or wires to speak of, I know this ECU box pretty well lol (I've opened it enough times in the previous car), i don't believe anything has been done inside. There were two screws missing from the cabin filter cover and one from the side metal panel you have to remove to get to the ECU cover.... hmmm

no CEL? i bet you're cobb tuned then. not many other flashes out there remove the CEL that I know of. i've heard conflicting reports about GIAC doing it or not doing it.

best bet- see if the previous owner had an e90post user name. search his posts to see what tune he ran

Better yet just get the previous owners phone number and talk with him.
Im sure the dealer will give it to you considering how this went down.
Op I would leave the car as is and enjoy it, they cannot refuse warranty if they sold you a certified pre owned car that way

They look like Riss Racing downpipes. I have the same ones.

What do I win???

I could be wrong but if you look at the name plate on each of them the Riss racing are wide around the pipe and the AA's are long down the pipe.

Well it's official, I have the AA ECU re-flash, AA cat-less Downpipes and an AFE drop in filter. must admit, feels pretty good lol. the car was done right. Next step, call dealer and tell them to honor my wonderfully modded car . Don't get me wrong, i'm not the person to mod the hell out of a car then expect the dealer to pay for what goes wrong, but them selling it to me like this without disclosing it... well that's a whole other ball game, thanks for all the input guys!!!

that's good news! now, just make sure the dealer never puts new software on the car, or you'll loose the tune and CEL delete.

side warning- you probably won't pass emissions inspection with that flash. the e36 and e46 guys (that i'm now apart of) like the AA flash because they delete the CEL, but it won't set readiness. you'll likely have to get a different tune with o2 modifier (procede) or bms dp fix and have the AA flash flashed back to stock by AA, to pass inspection.

well they just passed emissions and all readiness codes were set. Plus by a visual standpoint I work at a shop with inspections... and well lol, it will pass the visual. dully noted though, I will keep that in the back of my mind just in case.

not trying to disprove you here but the previous owner just faxed me over records for purchasing the AA catless downpipes and for the reflash No offense but the Rissracing dp's don't look the best in quality either.

No hard feelings, Just stating they look like mine. Also noted I could be wrong in my post. Nice deal on the car either way.
