Autolite plugs for N54?

Anyone use these? Carquest up the street has them in stock for about half the price of the Bosch ZGR6STE2 plugs, which nobody has an I would need to order online. Go for it, or just order them and wait until next weekend for install?

I tried to search but it seems like everyone's sticking with Bosch, so that's the direction I'm leaning right now...

thanks!

maybe a misfire. you won't always get codes. could be a faulty coil pack. maybe the big ape that changed your plugs gapped them or put the cheap autolites in, if so that's prob the issue, need to get some Bosch or ngk

Stick to Bosch/OEM (cause they're the same thing) or properly gapped NGKs

I'm actually not having any codes, just car has 72K miles and part throttle is a little not-smooth if that makes any sense. I have no record of plugs being changed so I figured I would change them first then if it still feels choppy to investigate walnut blasting. Thanks for the responses, Amazon (yes really) has the plugs for $78 a set so I'm going to order those and defer changing until next weekend. I'd ordered the Bosch ones from NAPA online but apparently they really don't have them when I called the store today to see if they'd come in from the warehouse

If you're cheap NGK 4786 MAY work. If you want to be a guinnea pig, try them and let us know. I suspect they will work no problem, but just won't last as long. They likely need to be gapped (I didn't check the spec).

I most definitely do NOT want to be a guinea pig, my goal is to get this car running well and caught up on all maintenance, and then just drive it until it's due to for more maintenance, which hopefully won't be for a long while! I'm being a big woosy boy and dropping it off tomorrow to have the gear oil changed; I don't have a floor jack low enough to lift the car, it's cold out, and I've got a miserable head cold that's kicking my butt...

Just say no.
On the other hand my e36 M3 did run very well at all with Bosch plugs. I used NGK and it ran great.

But Autolite, really??

Autolite sucks. It's like the off-brand Vodka, where it tastes like ass and makes you sick.

Meh, I had good luck with Autolite and Bosch Supers in my old Studebakers. (I know, not applicable to current discussion.) Now the factory-recommended Champions, foul 'em once, and the car will never run right again until you replace 'em...

In any case six shiny new Bosch plugs appeared on my porch today so I know what I'll be doing at some point Saturday.
