Which rims and where to buy for E92?

Waiting on the '08 to come out. I know that I want to add a spoiler and swap out the rims to something dark on the Montego Blue that I plan to order. I'm fine with the stock sport size if it's available (18 x 8.0 front, 18x 8.5 rear). The main things that I care about is that they are dark (I'm open to many different designs), and nice stable rims that still gauge the tire pressure. I'm more or less completely new to the "rims" market so looking for a place to start. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I understand that forged is the way to go over cast and that it might cost up to a few thousand.

I would spend some time and read. There is a wheel and tire forum, and that would be a good place to start. Then check out the tire rack, and search around...

Cheers and Good luck with your wait...

lip? no lip? Mesh rims? 5 spoke? 6 spoke? You have to narrow down what you want. goto the photo media gallery and look at the rims people on this board have. People on this board are biased btw they will tell you to go with bbs or dpe. Both are great choices.

Appreciate the quick feedback. Yea I guess there's a lot more reading I could do. Just seems like rims would be a "no brainer" but you're in for a surprise I guess with all the choices! I saw a post with these...they look very nice!

Ryan, by mesh, that's the design type, right? And there's a lip on the ones above right? Just want to make sure I'm getting the terminology down.

BTW, I didn't see that there was a tire and wheel section so if a mod can move this thread there for me I'd appreciate it.

They are iForged Senekas in Gunmetal - 19x8.5/19x10. I got some other pictures if you want to see some more of the wheels.

Yea that would be very cool if you can link me to your other photo's since that looks like the exact color car I'm looking to order too. Where did you order them and what tires did you slap on them? Did you have to use a spacer? Anything else that needs to be done with the car like recalibrating the speedometer or anything?

I did not order the wheels as I bought them used off an M3. Tires are 225/35/19 and 265/30/19 General Exclaim UHPs. No spacer as the iForged wheels will be custom made to fit your car. Don't believe that the speedo can be recalibrated, but the difference shouldn't be anything to worry about.

So thoes are 19's right, is your whip lowered at all, like springs or anything, just wondering cuz your wheels fit pretty sweet in your fenderwell.

Are you buying or leasing.

IF you're leasing there's zero reason to "wait for an 08"
