Getting bored with my interior, help!

I've started getting bored with my interior... It isn't horrible... However after seeing some of the great color combos on here, I'm really wishing I chose my options rather than buying it new off the lot.

Its sort of like they couldn't decide on a good consistent theme.
Steering wheel, e-brake handle, seats -- Black
Shifter, door handles -- Aluminum
Trim -- Burl Walnut

I'm also starting to think burl walnut is a little too dark to go with black... What do you think?

I'm looking for some ways to improve this... I *could* swap out the shifter and e-brake handle to burl walnut...

I could also try and go for a full aluminum trim. That'd be pretty pricey though. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Al is a good choice. Get OEM ones if you can. Be warned, the Al dent really easily. If getting aftermarket, try considering those Carbon Fiber in black or silver....Also get some new OEM pedals.

Depends on what you want to do. Do you like the burl wood? if not then get something else and swap all that out.

You can get aluminum used on here, paint your piano black, do CF, do different wood grain... There's a lot of options. Pick what you like, and buy it. You'll always be happier buying what you want, as oppose to what's cheaper or readily available.

I don't dislike it... It just seems so dark next to black interior...

I guess I'm just leaning towards replacing the black e-brake handle and the aluminum shifter with burl walnut pieces... Should only cost me about $250

Look into european spec stuff like Schwarz(black) trim or C/F(m-sport) theres also a really cool kinda crosshatched aluminum trim pattern in the german M-Sport catolag. I will try to scan and post.

If I paint the trim, would there be any special treatment that I should be looking for?
(I assume painted door trim inserts would get lots of scratches after some time...)

You probably want to get a paint that less prone to scratching. In my "interior painting" days, I had my interior color matched, and you could literally do anything (except take a key to it) and it wouldnt scratch.

They said they used the paint they used on front and rear bumpers..but im not sure.

Not a big fan of wood shifters and ebrakes. However I do think that the CF looks good with the black interior. Very sporty. Then you could also do the pedals.
