oil level reading accurate?

I just changed my oil and added 6 1/2 quarts of oil and the oil reading is showing this. Should I just add the other 1/2 quart in there? I thought our car uses a little under 7 quarts? If that's the case then adding the other 1/2 quart would be too much?

You should have added 7 in the first place. But that is a normal level hence the "OK", even if u add the extra half to make 7 it will read the same level

That's what I was thinking because before I did the oil change it read the same exact level. So that thing isn't actually an accurate level reading?I figured 7 quarts would be a the " max " level.
