Thanks for that. I missed it too, and I've been following this thread for months.

Glad to hear there's a (ghetto-fabbed) solution to the drone, as it's the one reason I had decided to go with a PE over the AA exhaust. Looks I might just save myself $500 and go the AA route.

Andrew can you tell me if the stock AA tips can be removed so I could install some Cyba black chrome or carbon fiber tips?

It seems like A LOT of people are complaining about drone. Why did you guys write "The exhaust produces a sporty, yet mellow tone with NO highway drone." on your website? The 'NO' is even in bold. Lol.
Any pics after the black paint? I was thinking of going that route too. Curious what it looks like.

Ha, I had no idea. That's how the shop did it. Thanks for the heads up, I'll work on it this weekend. I'm also working on getting some synthetic wine corks, I want to give that a shot. I'll follow up once I get a chance to try it.

Thanks,

~Mark

The tips can be removed but you will still have the pipes that the tips slide on to.

Cool, should be easy enough to cut those down and weld on the Cyba tips. Wonder if it'll effect the sound at all.

What's the diameter of those pipes? Pretty sure the Cyba tips are 2.5" in

I just ordered a handful of synthetic wine corks to help alleviate the drone problem (check pg 20). I honestly don't mind it. My wife on the other hand Haha

Sorry if my question sounds dumb but I am terrible with DIYs.

I read over the previous posts about the wine corks and I am confused to say the least. If anyone can help me summarize/re-explain how to do this wine cork method, I would appreciate it a lot

I think you just stick the corks into the hanger mounts

Look on page 20 theres a picture somewhere, shows you exactly where to put the corks. You basically shove them in the rubber mounts, 2 corks per mount, 4 total.

Grabbed up a few synthetic corks and put 4x inside the opening of the hangar mounts. You really have to shove them in, and I'm pretty sure they won't ever fall out.

Results? A slight decrease in drone around the 2-2.5 range too be sure, but it does not alleviate the drone entirely. However I mostly tried this too appease the wife. Before and after pics attached of the rearward hangar mount.

Stock, right behind the muffler. The second one is right behind the rear bumper. Once you have the stock exhaust removed for this - it's clear as day.
