Exclamation Helix | New N54 Intake - $159.99

The Helix Intake is a "best of both worlds" solution which enables you to keep the clean, stock look of your BMW Airbox while attaining the performance gains of an aftermarket intake system. This kit is a DIY kit that requires a minimal level of expertise. As long as you are somewhat familiar with tools, this should be no problem. The kit comes with all the necessary hardware to install the additional filter on to the existing BMW N54 airbox. For those of you who are running a stock diverter valve set up, you will need to purchase the diverter valve filter as well as the intake inlet cap and clamp. These parts are found labeled underneath the basic kit. Finally, to add to the benefit of your new intake, a drop in filter to replace the stock paper filter is also available.

Power gains shown to be 15 hp and 8 torque on our mustang Dyno.

Prices:
- Helix N54 Intake Kit is $159.99
- Diverter Valve cone + intake runner cap and clamp is $45
- Drop in Filter for Stock Airbox is $59.99
- 2" Hole saw for in home installation is $10

Kit Fits 335, 135, 1M

Looks nice!

Questions:

1. What is the brand of the drop-in filter?
2. What is the brand of the cone filter? Looks like K&N to me. Please, clarify.
3. I run the Forge DV kit. Do I still need to purchase the DV filter kit? Why?
4. The diameter of the hole we are making is only 2 inches, correct? Why so small?

Looks amazing...i am def interested in purchasing this. Just to clarify, in regards to the "intake runner cap"...is this the cap you were referring to in order to cap the hole on the intake box in order to revert back to the stock look when going to the dealer. If not, will u or can u provide a cap for the hole?

I assume this will fit with someone that has Tial Q BOV?

Diverter Valve cone + intake runner cap and clamp is $45 you only need this if you have stock DV right?

Drop in Filter as well as the cone filter are not K&N. As long as you have a recirculation tube running form your diverter valve to your front intake runner, you will need the cone filter, clamp and cap. 2 inches is the size of the tubing we have running out of the intake box.

If you look at your current set up you will see that out of the diverter valve comes a tube. This tube brings air and recirculates it back into the intake. Because you will be removing this tube, you will have to cap the hole it leaves behind. We can provide a cap for the hole. It is simply a 2" OD cap with a clamp.

These are going to be ready to ship out by next week. Everything is on its way and most of the stuff is here already.

We have not tested with a Tial BOV yet. Yes, diverter valve cone and intake runner cap/clamp are necessary if you have a recirculation tube running from either your stock or Forged diverter valves to your intake runner.

Thanks! Definitely Interested

I'm not sure if I should ask for this in this thread or the other one, but would you mind posting a video with the car running and some revs?

Yes we will do that very soon. Right now our shop car does have blow off valves so that might distort what the real intake may sound like but Vids will be up as soon as I can get them done

Might be a stupid question, but the basic kit for $159.99 includes the hose, the filter and what else?

Thanks.

Basic kit offers the flange, clamps, silicone, intake cone, sealant and reducer.
If you were to get every option you would get the basic kit, the diverter valve kit/cap/clamp and the drop in filter.

We will make a DIY manual but yes it is pretty straight forward. You drill the hole, use the parts we give you and attach everything up.

I answered Vasil's questions. The reason I am not giving specifics is because we have had custom filters/ silicone made and have put a lot of leg work into the project. I am not going to give out specifics so that people can go out and try to buy the parts themselves. This is a full DIY intake kit (you can even buy the hole saw from us ) and the parts have been selected carefully.
