What have I done?

I've helped a few friends flash their 335i's using the *********** app. They all went smooth. I had the bright idea to do my car last night, and of course, things did not go well for me.

The order of events as I remember them.

1) I used n54tech version 1.2 to read my DME. Took about 1.5 hours.

2) Used TunerPro to patch my BIN.

3) Connected 15 AMP charger to battery, attempted write with n54tech v1.2

4) As soon as write started the windshield wipers started going crazy. In a panic I pulled what I thought was the windshield wiper fuse, and ended up with what I believe was a bricked DME.

5) It was late, and for some reason I did not attempt to flash my original BIN back with the *********** app.

6) I used WinKFP to reload the DME. I think this may have upgraded my DME from 7590770 to 7626360 (whatever that means).

7) The car would start and run at this point, but I was stuck with a permanent SES and code 2AF3.

8) Left car on trickle charger. I went to bed.

9) I awoke with a clear mind.

10) I tried using n54tech v1.2 to flash my stock BIN. Again - windshield wipers went crazy. Then I used *********** v1.0.0.4 to flash my original BIN back, and it worked. Car started and ran.

11) Flashed DME again with patched BIN - car rips good..

12) I'm still stuck with a permanent SES.

13) When I read error memory I keep getting 2AAF - which I had before tuning but it never caused SES. When I read information memory I have a 2AD0.

I'm not sure if I've somehow screwed up the coding or something...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

So you cleared the error code and it keeps coming back?

Yes - they would come back instantly.

I put 40 miles on car the today and the SES went away. I haven't checked to see if the codes are still in memory, though.
