Hello - Introduction

Just wanted to say hello and wanted to introduce myself.

Bought my first BMW yesterday after looking for a while for the right car and spec to come up for sale.

I am now a happy owner of an E90 330i M Sport with the following spec:

Auto
IDrive
Full Leather
Xenons
Lighting Pack
Rear Parking Sensors

Did 250 miles in it yesterday and loved every minute of it.

Bit of history - my previous car was a Honda S2000 which i had for almost 3 yrs, loved it lots, did a few road trips in it along with track days and drift days.

Before that i had an A3 2.0TFSI Quattro

I also have a Polo G40 which is my track car (1.3 8v engine running a turbo and 194bhp) - i trailer this to tracks and also Santa Pod for drag racing.

Other other car in the family is a Mk4 Golf R32 which is the wife's run around.

The S2000 was sold due to us having a 3 month old girl hence the E90 saloon!

Read lots on this forum and there seems to be a lot of great info on here!

So hello everyone -

Nice E90 and a nice collection of past motors. I used to have an A6 with the same split rims on as the A3, best wheels ever to come on an Audi, look perfect on any of their range

welcome mate! like your current cars and previous cars a lot! tasty collection!
the noise from the r32 is a beast, especially with a non-res milltek

do you like the engine noise from a straight 6 with 330i or the one on r32 ?

We have a res milly on the R32 - its got to the res version as its the wife's run around car.

The straight 6 sounds great but i got to say the V6 in the R32 sounds better - just.

Loving your sleeper!!! Which track days do you go to?

The Polo has a lot done to it, turbo'd not supercharged, forged pistons, front mounted intercooler, methanol/water injection, plate LSD, roll cage, bucket seats and a few other odds and ends.

Also gets used at Santa Pod and it runs low 13's but that is with proper drag slicks.

Does Oulton Park in 2:05mins when i could only get 2:12mins in the S2000.

Cheers, well I'm yet to get the sleeper on track yet but looking at booking donington in the near future. It's been a few years since I've done a full on track day but want/need to get back into it! Wish this weather would book its ideas up! Have you got any planned?

Donington is my local track but Cadwell Park has to be my personal favourite. Oulton Park was my first ever proper track day back in 2006, fast track as I remember!

OOO Donnington is one i would to do one day, i am about an hour from there (bit more now i trailer the Polo to the track - max speed of 50!) so it will be on my list to do, i am 10 miles from Oulton so thats where i go the most, i have a 3 track day pass so Oulton is on the list for this month if i can be bothered to get the car running correctly.

How far are you away from Oulton?

I have heard that Cadwell is a good track, a bit far for me to travel though.
