clear plastic dip

Would clear plastic dip protect my paint from chips and scratches?

Yea but will look pretty bad. Im sure it isnt fully clear. On a white car it will look gross.

it is fully clear. the "problem" with clear bra and the like, is that on the edges you can see the line eventually over time.

[edit] oh shit. nevermind. i just realized you were asking about plastidip and not 3m clear bra. fuck plastidip. lol

The clear plasti dip is not meant to be fully clear and because of that i'd say don't use it to protect the paint. It's meant more to do things along the lines of smoking tail lights and comes out matte not gloss.

What clear dip does is make your existing color look "matte"
It will protect just fine, yes.. I've had mine protect my car for many months now....
