I wonder if this can be related to the vehicles that say "Flex Fuel Ready" but are really not. I don't have any documentation, but have heard that the vehicle says "option to be E85 ready" thus the consumer thinks it is but its really not.

people have been running higher ethanol content than any n54 in 90s cars for a decade without melting hoses. the worst you're going to see is a rusty injector.

SO i have been reading threads and threads and post about this and looks like in the community its about 50 50 on supporters and those who do not support.

My question will i see any detrimental or advantageous effects if i run maybe 3-4 gallons of e85 fulled by 93. Yes i understand people are running 50/50 for 40k and have no issues, 40/60 60/40 etc etc.

My car is stock right now. Parts to be added are CAI, JB4, DPs, hopefully IC and i believe that is it.

I know that the small mixture will help with timing, but is our timing that bad that it needs to be amended?

For guys/gals like me with ACN 91 octane will and can benefit from adding 3 gallons of E85 Pump. This will allow us to run more aggressive MAPs/Tune that are rated for min. 93 octane. Since you have 93, i don't see a huge benefit other than maybe cleaning up some timing if any. But I wouldn't add more than 3 gallons without the proper tune.

now if you go to the MAP on your JB4 that supports E85 Pump, then you will see a bump in ponies.

I have a pro E Tune @ E50 (50% ethanol not 50/50) blended with ACN 91, and have a kick ass ride with just DCI and FMIC. High Ethanol is a beautiful thing sir.
