Joining the Dark Side

Hey guys,

Just picked up a 2008 335i Coupe and I'm absolutely in love. Not unlike many here I'm coming over from an Audi and I have to say, making the move may have been one of the best decisions I've made. The dynamics of this car are just incredible, I already can't wait to start modding it (already have a couple of things coming in the mail).

I'm not at all new to forums, just to BMW so hopefully I can lend a hand here and there as well as learn a ton about the car in the process. For starters, I can work my way around photoshop (but am by no means a pro) so if anyone ever has any requests, feel free to PM me anytime.

Anyways, I suppose it's on to the pics, that's what you all came here for anyways.

Here's the old A4 for anyone interested.

Now with the 335, back to (sort of) stock getting ready to be sold.

And the 335i, I've got a few mods planned but I will be trying to keep this car looking very OEM+.

EDIT: Missed one

Thanks for looking,
-Cam

Not afraid to get crazy with offsets, but I'm fully committed to keeping it stock height. I've been down that path before, plus, the stock sport suspension is absolutely on point.

You guys aren't helping BTW.

If you're planning on tuning later, might as well drop it (the right way of course). With over an extra 100hp, you will encounter enough body roll to make you sick.

I hope you guys aren't right.

Gotta keep all my ducks in a row, first things first; 40% 3m crystalline tint, colour matched reflectors, debadge. Worry about the bigger things when the time comes.

Damn that Audi is beautiful. I too converted, coming from an anti-BMW mentality

...made the same switch myself. Had the same A4 with the blown out sport package, minus the awesome looking titanium package. Great car, great memories.

I, too was really impressed of the BMW's handling compared to the B7. Great looking 335i!! I can almost guarantee that you'll be dropping in some mods after your honeymoon

Thanks guys and no problem psmitty!

So far the planned mod list is looking like this:

Short-term:
- Grey sidemarkers
- Debadge
- 40% ceramic tint
- BMW performance shifter and e-brake
- 335is pedals/m3 dead pedal
- Black grille and trim (maybe, haven't decided if that's the direction I want to take it. Yay or nay?)
- Full professional detail

Long-term:
- M-sport bumper (would that look weird with stock side skirts and rear bumper?)
- Might vinyl wrap the interior (probably gloss black)
- M-sport steering wheel
- Paint callipers blue (maybe)
- Some sort of OEM wheels, probably 18's, maybe 19's (If I don't get wheels, then I'll get some spacers to flush out the stance)
- Tune (probably a flash, more familiar there, thinking GIAC)
- If I get a tune, radar detector and maybe laser jammer

Very nice B7, one of nicest OEMs i'ge seen. Judging by this, the 335i is in good hands!

Having said that, yey on Color choices, negative on the rims themselves (19in LMs or 359snwould be better if you want dark rims). I think the style 189s you got there are better in stock silver. And yey on debadging.

Ehm... good luck keeping 335 OEM.

Congrats on the pickup.

I'd keep the 189s the stock silver.
