Trunk release E92

Sometimes the trunk mounted switch works, sometimes not. I know if the car is locked it won't. I guess it won't work if the driver door only is unlocked. It should work if both doors unlocked, but just sometimes. It should always work if the interior master unlock is activated, but just most of the time. The footwell switch always works, the key release always works. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance, Crusader

You got it all with the exception of the valet lock in the glove box.. When that is slid to lock, the trunk handle and the footwell switch won't work.

And I missed one freaky thing that I just went out to my car and tried again. If you lock it from the inside and both doors are only opened with the double pull of the inside handles, your trunk mounted release won't work. You either have to have both doors unlocked with the fob or the dash switch for the trunk mounted switch to work.

Works with interior master unlock, sometimes with fob double unlock. Perhaps because I have one push - driver door, two push - pass door?

I've got the same set up profile as you do, 1>driver, 2>pass on the fob. As long as your car is completely unlocked with either the fob or the dash button, and your valet lock is not engaged, your trunk should always open with the handle.
