iPod/iPhone integration with iDrive CIC on e90LCI '09

Hello Everyone.

I have e90 LCI +09 with CIC iDrive. I can connect my iPod to the USB but there is no direct connection to the ipod system (I see only mp3 files that are on iPod and that are named incorrect/some unique ID names).
Is there a way to upgrade iDrive to support iPod/iPhone?
If not, what I must do to get that feature?

Thanks alot

You don't have the USB port in the arm rest?

The USB port is kind of hidden, you have to slide a little (usb size) cover and put the USB cable in. If you don't have the "Y" cable you may need to buy that.

But once you plug it in this way, you'll be able to select the iPod from your iDrive screen.

The glovebox USB is to up/download music into the CIC HDD. There's no iPod adapter in your car.

Search for details, this have been discussed too many times before.

older iPods not supported

I have a second gen nano and it is apparently not supported, hence the problem. I might try a "Y" cable to see if that works.
