Anyone know how I can clean/fix moonroof trim?

The moonroof trim should be black. I'm not sure if the previous owner used some form or chemical or if it's just sun bake but I would like to get it black again. Any suggestions?

That looks like the roof rail (also in your picture but matching your paint color) when it peeled on my car. I had the rails removed and covered in vinyl for about $45. I don't know how easily that trim comes off the moonroof though. Your choice now may be to remove all the black that is left on the metal and make it shiny instead.

I use this on my exterior rubber trim. I apply it with a q-tip type swab. It lasts a fairly long time and I coat it with tuf coat tire sealant. I do believe those are rubber.

Not the moonroof, the roof racks (where you could insert carriers, etc) On his car the racks are painted the same color. On mine, they were black coated just like his moonroof trim. I don't know if the moonroof trim comes off without a leak issue.
