LOL. I like LCI tails I just never thought they looked THAT much different. Don’t get me wrong they’re definitely better looking I would just rather spend the money of a front lip first. Maybe if I saw a “before and after” it would change my mind. It’s very possible that I will end up doing the shadowline trim though.

Thank you I’ve always been a fan of red 3-series coupes! She is an extreme hater…it’s so ironic that she used to hate of 128/328’s so hard and now she rides around in one and is trying to hate on my car now!

I don't think its possible for OEM style wheels to look "ghetto". If the wheel type looked good enough for the engineers at BMW, they look good enough for me.

This is exactly where I am coming from...CSL style wheels have been proven to look good on 3-series for a couple generations now...and I think the m359 style matches the lines of the e90/92's quite well...and yes, I would trust the BMW designers' opinions of my ex's anyday when it comes to what looks good on our cars.

Just the perfect drop and clean wheels + mskirts , leaving the oj reflector just says you didnt tamper much with bullshit mods. Sometimes its hard to hold back on lil things like that.

Wow I didn't know anyone else felt the same way about some of the little BS mods that are cheap and easy to do. I could have gone a completely different direction with my car...a lot of people's mods go:

1.black grills
2.reflector delete
3.ebay m3spoiler
4.blacked out roundels
5.other small stuff like that

eventually (and hopefully) they get to other things like wheels and a drop. Don't get my wrong all those mods can look good and tastefull (except the non-oem roundels IMO). I just don't think putting a trunk/roof spoiler on a stock car makes it look that much better. I would save those things for later on down the road. But once again, I'd rather save that money for some Stoptechs or something

I almost want to take off my black kidneys....maybe keep the middle section black and have the chrome outer ring...(i have the reverse right now, black outside with chrome slats)

It's not that I care about what she thinks...I just know she will be honest about things even if it's going to hurt you feelings. I just care about my car not looking ghetto. As I mentioned before though I just think this was a case of her trying to bring me down....I don’t care about what she thinks anymore. Ultimately what’s important is what I think about the car. But I also don’t want to be driving around something goofy looking. I’ve always thought I had decent taste in mods but started to second guess myself.

Thanks! I think it matches the trim nicely as well. I understand that a lot of people are going to think it’s too low. I was actually on the fence about it as well. It makes me happy when I look out my office window though

You're talking to a traditional/OEM+style of modder here and I can tell you being brutally honest, there is nothing ghetto about those wheels.

The car could be raised a touch but I don't think the height it's at is necessarily "too low".

Saying all of that, if your ex's comments really are getting to you and you want to change things up, I think a gunmetal/black combo could also look gorgeous on your car.
