Oil temperature range changes after oil change?

Just did my first oil change on my 2008 335i that I bought used earlier this year. Oil change was done by the dealer with this oil:

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-36...Fcyb7QodDg8oWw

according to the receipt. Everything is fine except that I am noticing that the oil temperature is running between 245-250 vice 240-245 under similar driving conditions and outdoor temp. Unfortunately I do not know what oil was originally in the car. The dealer left a winshield tag with a Kendall label and a mileage change recommendation that was at about 6K.

I realize oils are different and will have different heat transfer coefficients, but didn't expect to see 5-10F of change. Anyone else have a similar experience from changing oil types? Just curious. Thx.

I recently had an oil change using that same BMW oil. No significant change in oil temps, although it's been hot enough here in Detroit to set records recently, so when it cools down, I'll be curious to see if it drops enough for me to notice.

Only time I noticed it move noticeably hotter was when I was at a track day in mid-June, but that is obviously explainable.
