Best Option for e90 ?

Sup everyone.

I have a 07 328xi sedan with hifi radio (No Nav).

I would like to know what will I need to do in order to add my Kicker L7 12" ported box that I have and use my hifonics brutuz 1200.1D mono amp.

Would it be easier to have these installed with stock headunit than if I wanted to install aftermarket radio/nav like the Universall Android system from Dynavin or something similar?

Anyone else here with e90 how/what you guys have done for aftermarket subwoofer and/or aftermarket radio?

Thanks

Sell your car and buy a Honda : j/k

Seriously though you just need a line output converter. I don't think technics harness for hifi would work for you but I might be wrong.

Pretty sure Technic makes a harness for adding a Sub and Sub Amp to a stock HiFi System just no clue what it cost's PM user Technic.

Youll have a plug and play harness that will allow you to add your sub and amp you already own nice and clean.

( logic 7 example )

Pretty much what "bmw325i" said it adds a line out converter without the need to cut anything.

I just wanted to know what have other folks done :-P
If they stood with stock headunit & added their sub/amp or they upgraded to aftermarket radio/nav & were able to add sub/amp and still keep steering wheel controls.

In my previous car my audio guy added something similar to that in the trunk but it wasn't giving enough juice to the amp to make my sub hit as hard as expected, lets say about 50-60% of power was being fed. Audio guy told me there's a module that gives more juice or so, so I will see what he recommends.

Most amps have adjustable input sensitivity :

With these cars most never replace the head unit as its fully capable of emitting low voltage outputs and does more than just a radio.

All software updates on the car etc go through the radio, Its like the server for the cars whole network.

I thought his hifi harness was just to replace the amp entirely and it has to take balanced inputs. I could be wrong though.

Yea that I know but the power source is not feeding it 100% because it has to share with the factory amp and the aftermarket amp (speaker, sub) in my first car (Toyota Avalon) i had power str8 from the battery in the front so it was feeding 100% to the sub amp is what i meant. In my cadillac sts 06 that i had my audio guy had the wiring with a similar harness in the trunk.

How much roughly will a CIC Nav Retrofit would cost for a 2/07 production car?

Or maybe should I save that $$ and just go aftermarket nav

What have you done to your Professional HU w/ bluetooth (no nav, no usb/ipod) HiFi .. in order to use a subwoofer + mono amp (just for bass) ? And if you were able to install aftermarket nav or just usb/ipod adapter ?

Thanks
