Comparison pics between the 7w, 10w, and 20w? Is the wiring same gauge or better quality?

What is the satisfaction guarantee? 15days, 30 possibly?

They look great! Im actually in between the LUX and these but i like a slightly blue hue and i think the LUX delivers that. Any inputs on this?

Maybe with a pre order of atleast 25 guys. We did an amber interior kit way back when for people, there is a whole lot of hype and polls. We didnt sell nearly as many kits as the people hyped about and lost a good chunk of change in the process so this time we would need to make a more conservative approach. Just being brutally honest.

I doubt that many would pre buy but who knows. It's hard to say too because there are no prototypes to show either. Based on the success lux had with their ambers I would think there is a market for it.

Can they not just make a limited supply to see how well it does? Would it not just be inserting a different color led in place of the white?

Well it would look just like theirs or very similar. Unfortunately lighting manufacturers require large bulk orders for us to get great prices to pass savings onto you guys.

They literally runs batches of 100's or even 1000's when they produce an LED so having them make production for a handful is usually not possible. I'll see what I can find out.

idea...the amber would be possible like this:

1. purchase the AE units
2. purchase 8x of the exact same LED emitters, but in amber. I'll look for them.
3. de solder the old LEDs, solder the New ones, and put on any thermal grease or insulator there is.

It's a pretty simple job, the only difficult part is tracking down the right CREE emitter. Your best bet may be to take some close up pictures of the emitters themselves and then contact CREE or a supplier with the pictures asking if the same emitter or one with very similar specs is available in amber.

just had to contribute my conversion... taken just with iPhone, which is why quality isnt the best.

installation was a PITA, took me about one hour. the hardest part was putting the bulb in and aligning the tabs so that i could tighten it in. the best advice i can give is to use the wiring as a 'safety cord' (so that you dont drop the bulb into the housing!) as you put the bulb in 'backwards'; heat sink first. then using one finger to poke the bulb end into the hole. after that it was just a matter of rotating the bulb unti the tabs aligned.

i can vouch that these do look better in person, pictures dont do these justice.

very satisfied with this purchase! thank you very much HPB!

next up... black grills!

TopGearSolutions and HPB look to be the same ones: Color: White 6000K as per the desciption.

The ones from gaifaun's review with the pictures where it's compared to Lux are a different spec : color: White 7000k
