Fall Foliage Drive 9/29/12 (E90post Edition)

Hey guys, I am trying to get a fall drive going like we did last year. The timing was perfect last year because all the leaves were changing...

Here are the details along with a link from last years drive that has pics...
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...0#post12666840

What do you guys think? Who is down?

I might be up for that. How long do you think the cruise will last? Will there be plenty of stops along the way to take pics? Just curious, as I moonlight as an amateur photographer (who doesn't these days?)

I just checked all the RMCBMWCCA sites and calendars and I dont see any drives listed for that day, or any day around that....

If someone has a link to the fall drive then please post it.

If BMWCCA is hosting a drive the same day then we can reschedule this drive for a week or 2 later and all just attend the CCA drive. Although, the fall drive usually is a 2 day drive. But of course you dont have to do the full route and stay over night.

Probably only like 4 or 5 hours at the most.. You can always take off if you are ready to go... And yes, the plan is to stop and take pics or eat a lot lol.

Sid, it was in the last newsletter...that appears to be the only place it has been posted so far. Weird that I don't see it anywhere else, and I don't have that newsletter anymore.

Anyone else have the info? I will see if I can get it from someone in the club.

I might head up this weekend instead. If it works better for anyone, you're welcome to come along. I'll probably have my s2k buddy and possibly swapped turbo crv buddy with me as well. Just let me know.

Which direction around the loop? Just trying to figure out if a Boulder person could catch it on the way through town in the morning, or if Boulder is at the end of the day.

What's the total distance? Just curious if I could make it on one tank of gas running straight E85?

Never mind, I see that all the route information is available. Looks like it would be doable.

+1. By what 'Caleb' wrote, I'm 99% sure it's counter clockwise. I'm in Louisville... right next to Boulder.

Here's the link I copy and pasted:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=from:...PSOEQ&t=m&z=10

Denver - Estes Park: 66.1 miles
Estes Park - Ned: 41.7 miles
Nederland - Black Hawk: 18.9 miles
Black Hawk - Denver: 33.8 miles

Sum of above: 160.5 miles

Sounds like we should be able to do that in about an hour and a half.

They need zero break in Alfred. So says BMW when I had mine replaced.

Alfred, no brake in needed, like Matt said.

Oh, and Sid, they finally fixed the site, and it is on the same day.

I'm going to try to. I'll be at the dyno tomorrow on E85 and DCI, and I'll switch back to the stock intake during the dyno session. So then I should be set to run stock hardware on that day with just a tune and E85. Then I plan to go back to 91 for the winter and work on optimizing my pump gas tune until I get a new clutch next spring.
