i dropped a L-shaped T20 torx tool - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I was doing Kaigoss' tweeter upgrade to a center channel. while at it, I accidentally dropped my T20 L-shaped Torx wrench down the left hole of where the tweeter is supposed to be installed.

it seems to have dropped down as far as it could and is not visible.

can someone help me find out how to get this out?
i cannot see it through my windshield nor when i duck under the driverseat.
I want to get it out without disassembling the whole car... i have an E92 with iDrive so i have the monitor.

That;s a pretty common tool for fishing for loose parts.

Any auto retail shop sells those magnets on a flexable wand, there around600mm long, and they are cheap.

Hope the tool you droped does not have to much stainelss steel in it? otherwise you will be using blue-tack on the end of the wand, which I have done before?

I decided to pretend like nothing ever happened and just buy another torx wrench...
If I ever have to pull out my HU I may get it out.
