Got my first ever internet ban!!!!!!

Just been banned from DW by everyone's pal Shaun.

There was a thread running about what hot hatch you'd choose. On topic, and funny, I posted this.

http://sniffpetrol.com/2014/10/16/ev.../#.VEF3DslwbqB

Which lead to his usually snappy comment.

Showing his lack of maturity he started digging up posts from a couple of weeks ago to serve me with infraction points.

This was the post that was deemed abusive and deserving of an infraction.

I responded to his message to say he was just nit picking and behaving like a child. Which quite clearly he was.

I asked him to leave me alone and pass any issues with me on to another moderator as he can't be impartial.

I did say his moderation was ruining the forum and that is why good members are leaving.

Then I was instantly banned.

We had issues in the past where he sent me abusive messages, then deleted them from my inbox after I told him I was going to report him.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=953259

Time to get that little excuse of a man off the DW forum. He's such a child that can't be trusted and on too much of a power trip.

I never broke any rules to be banned. If I did, I knew he'd be waiting.

Nobody likes him. I've never heard a positive word about him and good guys have left due to him.

He's only lasted on DW as they can't get anyone else to do his job on DW. They don't get paid.

The site would be vastly improved without him.

I was going to say could you not have contacted one of the other mods but I suppose they would all stick together. Did you ever contact any of them before.

I complained about his previous PM abuse and deleting.

It was under investigation, but nothing was ever said or done.

When I got the first infraction tonight, I sent a PM to Whizzer to have a word with Shaun to calm him down.

I can't access the site at all now, but I've not had any email notification.

Well done Kerr.

Good effort!

It's impressive how you can get banned from forums for actually knowing wtf you are talking about and questioning others viewpoints.

Top marks!

I liked DW but it way too one dimensional. Same questions every single day and the forum is moderated with such bias it is untrue.

The Golf R joke hit home as the site is full of Golf owners that won't hear a word against them.

Start a thread about a Golf- 50 pages later they are still discussing how great it is.

Start a thread on a supercar. Nah, a few pages of I don't like that with the scattering of some sense.

There is good members and I enjoyed a lot of it. However there is far too many spiteful little gits who haven't a clue. Sadly they allowed one to be Admin.

Someone sent a PM on my behalf. I do wonder if I'll get a response.

Time to move on I guess. Many of the long standing members of DW have been moving on.

Detailing Nation is the place they've gone. It is a little quiet just now, but will build up.

Dealing with such a close-minded forum isn't worth your time. Surprised it took a ban to get you to leave...

Part of their policy:
Quote:
Personal attacks, rudeness, flaming, baiting, insults to others, or arguments will not be tolerated. Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully. Please refrain from making excessive negative comments. As the saying goes "If you have nothing nice to say then don't say it".
* Any member who threatens anyone on the forum, via PM, instant messengers, or Email, will be banned immediately without notice. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. Our decision is always final in these matters.
* If you break the rules in any way then you may be dealt with accordingly. This can range from a suspension for a number of days to an instant ban. If you repeatedly break the same rule your account will be at risk of a permanent ban.
I guess you followed the rules and got banned...

A forum about obsessively cleaning cars is bound do have more than its fair share of fannies.

It seems almost everyone that rents a golf r or an m135i is a sensitive little flower. There are exceptions of course.

To be fair there is good bit and bad bits. It is a huge website and lots more goes on than obsessive car cleaning.

However if you ever read The Gentleman's club, a member only part of the site, it would scare you just what some people will say.

I was on there and learned loads about detailing but when you take a step back and realise what the site is really about and how its run you realise its just a place to sponge info off rather than be an active member...imo!

Trolling? Quality posting more like.

I did find myself in a fair amount of nonsense things over there. Too many people have zero common sense though.

Probably a little guilty of winding up a few, but there was far too many people with very odd opinions.

I blame the fumes from all those cleaning products. I visited the industrial unit of one of the detailing product manufacturers (based not a million miles from me). Pretty sure it was a front for a meth lab.
