Any Riders in the Baltimore County area?

Hello gents!

Just wondering if there are any riders in the Baltimore County area... It's not really the season to ride, but just want to see who's into bikes in the region - so we can get at it once the warm weather comes back...

Also, any Ducati enthusiasts out there? Just picked up my first Duc, and am a complete noob to these beasts... Looking for advice, recommendations on parts, and all that good stuff.

Thanks in advance!

I don't live in Baltimore County, but I am in the city at least once a week and live in Northern VA. We've had some random warmer days the last couple of weeks.

Let me know when you head out next and I'll see if I can join!

Sounds good!

Got a few two wheeled toys but this one seems to get the most time these days:

Boss... I've been looking for a s1000rr, but just couldn't find any unless I bought new. That would've been my first choice - as I fell completely in love with that bike when I saw one in-person at the Baltimore Grand Prix.

Wanted something a little differenct, ended up picking up an 848... No regrets, but one day, in the not-so-immediate future, I'll have a chance to test out one of bimmer's bikes... The new retro line... the R-nine-T? and similar lines look awesome... They look like cafe racers on steroids!

Beautiful rides, bud!

Hey man, I gathered a really great group of riders over the summer in the Baltimore County area. This is my first post here and I'm not sure if I have the ability to PM you yet. Once I do, I will shoot you some info.

Nice Duc, btw. I ride a Daytona at the moment.

Awesome! Thanks for looking out! I was thinking very seriously about the Daytona 675 (there's a beautiful red one on craigs), but just couldn't back away from the deal I got for my Duc.

Exciting stuff!

65 degrees today! Definitely starting to get warmer... Anyone go out for a ride yet?

Got my Honda Ruckus started this weekend - had to put the battery on a trickle charger, but started right up once charged. Gotta love Honda's reliability. Went out for a quick ride around the development, and getting that itch again... Unfortunately, as for the Duc - still being prissy to cold weather, low battery, just does not want to start (or stay on) in anything under 50 degrees.

My ride:
Nice man, Nice. s1000rr - fall in love with this bike every time i see it. I like the little touches you put on her- the tribal over the smaller headlight, frame sliders, etc.

Still a tad bit chilly, but I did see 3 riders commute this morning. First time since the fall that I've seen riders out on the road. Spring is right around the corner!!

Also, that's up with your rear seat cowl? is that a seat with an integrated tail bag or something of that sort? It seems a bit bulkier than the normal seat.

Thanks. I really like it. crazy power but not jerky.
I recently added a few more touches: Akra slip-on, chain adjuster in blue, Rizoma brake fluid container in blue.

That is a bag on the rear seat. good for small stuff such as glasses, snack, water bottle. when not in use, it serves as a seat.

time to ride soon. let me know if you or others want to meet and go for a ride.

Awesome! Just added the Akra slip-on's myself, and the tone that thing produces is just... music to my ears. Videos don't do these kits any service... your 1000rr looks great man! And, absolutely - re: that time of year.

Absolutely! Got to go for a few-mile ride yesterday, with those crazy gusts, and I have to admit, I'm not in the riding shape anymore. Grip, wrists, forearms - definitely not used to bikes... Been a few months!

As it gets warmer, let's put together a little riding session or what not

Did anyone hear about the fatal motorcycle accident on i95 last thursday - around O'donnell street? i95 was closed - all lanes - for a few hours... 4/16/2015 - around 4PM.

Went to the tag and title in timonium on friday - and they said the motorcyclist was decapitated? rip...

Be safe everyone!

I did see that. I think I95 southbound was closed from roughly 4pm-7pm, single vehicle accident (just the rider). Not sure what happened. RIP.

The last couple of years I have been riding with a track day organization, N2. If anyone is interested in doing a few days this year with them, check out their site:

www.n2td.org

I'll be going to about a dozen or so days this year.

Yep, you are right. It was closed for approximately 3 hours. Apparently, the rider struck a light pole? Fatal high-side is my guess... From what I've heard, it was a horrific accident, and they were telling commuters with kids to stay away from i95, because it was extremely graphic. RIP, indeed.

That N2 thing looks neat! I've been looking into the California Superbike Schools - and would love to attend one of these events, but the transportation is the big issue. Just getting my legs back - and went through about 3 tanks of gas this weekend... It was glorious.
