Evan@Tischer,

It looks like we might have a handfull of local northern VA guys that are interested in the oem alarm, can you give us a set price that would include installation for local custumers? maybe 5 sets or if a good price we can get 10 different people
thanks

The special price of 230.00 for the alarm is the absolute best we can do on these. As for installation, you'll need to contact our service department at 301.890.3000 to see if they'd be interested in doing something like a group price. I recommend you talk to Joe Diss. Jason and I have tried to do something like this in the past w/ no luck.....this is one of those situations where parts and service are completely separate entities.

if they could make this happen, they could steal some customers from other local service depts....sell it to them with those tidbits.....also include that we will guarantee perfect 10s (or 5s, whatever bmw uses), which will increase their CSI thus bumping up their paycheck bonuses......

Wow, I honestly was not expecting a refund for this and just an excuse of some sort. I not only got a refund, I got a logical explanation as to why it happened. THIS is what customer service is all about.

For a quote on this, hit up our service department at 301-890-3000. I recommend you talk to Joe Diss. Tell him you're an internet customer and maybe he'll cut you a break.

Why is E93 model much cheaper, is it because it does not have the interior sensor? could I install this model in E92? I don't care about motion sensor.

Since the alarm kits do have model-specific part numbers, obviously we can only recommend that you install the kit that's made for your specific model. We honestly have no way of knowing if the E93 kit will fit into your E92. If you'd like to take such a job on, it would be at your own discretion, and of course would not be eligible for warranty in any type of situation.

ballpark figure...shouldnt be more than 400-500 for the alarm+install/activation right??

is there a thread that lists specifics on the OEM alarm ie glass break sensors, proximity, starter disable etc?

I was told by my service dept. that is around 3 hours installation/activation time for the alarm. This may vary from dealer to dealer though, as installation time/hourly rate is not set in stone by BMW.

Why don't you install it yourself and save some $$$$? There's a DIY in the sticky, and install shouldn't take you more than an hour by yourself. Just take it to the dealer and have them activate it.

At least that way you'll save 2 hours or so on labor
