Not sure, as that's really more of a service-type question. Do you trust your dealership? My advice would be, if you want the alarm, to install in and see if it works. If not, then you know that it needs programming. That way you have a case to take up w/ your SA since they told you it was alarm-ready.

Yes, I believe the only thing the dealer program does is activate the siren chirp. Eveything else should work fine.

I'm probably going to end up buying one too from Tischer.

I ordered my alarm from them too...fast shipping.
Installed the day i picked up my car, had it activated the next weekend, and everything worked perfectly.

I was so happy with their service I just ordered a set of mats from them too

I think 98% of the people did. Somehow the other 2% got a hookup of some sort.

I've received quotes to have the alarm intialized ranging from $100 to $300 in NJ/PA, typically people here pay around $100 to $125.

Where in NJ are you? I went to Thompson BMW in Doylestown (I believe) and they activated it for no charge, even though the SA gave me a quote of $100.

The cost can range anywhere from $100 - $200, but it only takes an hour of labor, really.

As far as we know, yes. We just got a coupe and sedan M3 in this afternoon. They're being PDI'd right now as we speak!

I was going to order the alarm today, but the price on the website says $250? Can you still do $230 for me? Is that a glitch?
