I was just joshin' with putting down others BMWs. At least we all drive BMWs.

I actually chose the 128 over the 135. I had a bad experience with the turbo engine in my 335 coupe and wanted to get one of the last NA engines offered by BMW. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when this lease is up as there will probably be no non turbos available from BMW. Might be time to switch to a P car.

True that, I know my buddy had issues with his 335 as well. It's hard to see them going to all turbo engines, even in the next gen M3...

I think mine is a keeper. I had planned to run my '06 Z4 into the ground, until I succumbed to the realization that I can no longer pretend not to have difficulty getting in and out. And the combo of short wheelbase and New England frost-heaves spelled doom for my kidneys. The 1'er fits the bill perfectly, maybe the N52 will become a "classic".

From an outsider of the normal political debates (I just read for fun some times) I do have to know why we need to buy a Chevrolet? Isn't their tax payer funded business sending all of our jobs to Mexico or somewhere else anyway? I think their mainstream "entry level" car is a Daewoo?

I guess that I could have said FORD but I am an old time Chevy fan. Back at a time that GM was General Motors and not Government Motors. (see my garage)

The most American car you can buy (number of employed people working on it, parts, etc.) is the Toyota Avalon. Of the top 10 American made cars, 4 are imports and reside in the top 5 (the Chevy work van being the 5th in the top 5). I'd say Honda Accord based on fuel efficiency, package levels, into price, and bang for the buck is the best American made car you can buy.

I hate to turn a humorous meme hat thread into a debate about "buy American" but I just grow so tired of hearing that.
