I opened up the rear of my new LCI halogens today to install the Lux, and I noticed this "motor" looking object next to the halo bulb. See picture below. Anyone know what this is? I haven't see this on other LCI halogen lights pictures that I have seen.

Are those adaptive halogen's, i haven't heard of anything like that before. Motors are normally just to control the up/down or left/right control of the beam.

![]() I do know that my vehicle is not adaptive-ready, so I am just going to position them manually with the adjustment screws and leave it be, unless someone else knows what that is. |

no idea what that is, but that is definitely not an "adaptive" motor for the lights. halogens don't have a focused beam like projectors do so there's nothing for the headlights to "adjust".

Found out what it is... I emailed the guy I bought them off of (who lives in the UK), and apparently the EU BMWs have a wheel on the headlight switch which runs this "motor" which adjusts the headlights up/down.
