How to reset Aircon / Climate control?
Hi,
I am not sure if this is related to coding or not. I have updated my DSC, Kombi and JBBF module recently and after that my aircon is not working. Means light is turning on but no cold air. I wonder if it is related to coding or during updating modules some how aircon gas has leaked??? I have tried all these module with expert profile to their original state but no difference. Any suggestions?? |

If I put it to highest temperature, it blows hot air. However If I put it to lowest temperature and aircon is on, no cold air ![]() Do you reckon my aircon gas is low? Can I check the level of gas by any means? |

Grant, air was dead cold about 2-3 weeks ago.
I have not used it after that and then I have updated modules (mentioned up). After updating I noticed that it is not cooling anymore. In inpa there are few functions to calibrate climate control and that did not help either. I guess last resort is to take it to garage to see if compressor is working and if yes, is there enough cooling gas? |

You can check if the clima compressor is working in a easy way:
Go to hidden kombi menu. Monitorize fuel consumption (L/h) menu 04.01. Check the fuel consumption with the snowflake button on and off (set the temp to the low value first) If there is a noticeable change on the consumption (from 0.7 to 1.3l /h approx) your compressor will be apparently ok and the gas too. If the value doesn't change at all, your compressor is not engaging properly. It could be for many reasons, but you should diagnose the car and check the IHK and JBBF codes. Regards

Thanks Jose. On normal parked car consumption varies from 0.7-1.2l/h on my car and when I turn on car, it goes to 1.3l/h. So I reckon compressor is working but possible gas is low. Why would gas go low? Leakage in compressor or somewhere? |

The compressor is designed to not run if the freon is low/out as the gas also contains the oil for the unit. Sounds like there is a blend issue, as in the blend door isnt opening for the ac side. I know this might sound stupid, is the A/C control that is in the middle of the center vents on the blue side?

Mine is not climate control but simple AC and heater. If I turn it on to full red with compressor on, it send very hot air. However if I run it to other side (full cold), air become cold compared to heater settings, but not colder than outer temperature. ![]() |

However heater does work and send hot air. Now compared to it, when I put it to max cold, it is relatively cold (to heat of heater), but not cold compared to outside normal temperature. I hope it make sense. |
