Noob question. Removing JB4

Hi guys,

Just need a simple answer.

I am removing the JB4 before going to the dealer for MOT And I have a once over.

I have the following issues for them to look at on the 335i
-wastegate rattle, turbos may be damaged as performance seems to have dropped a little.
- fans come on even when the oil levels are just warming up
- my speedo needle is acting up. The needle judders down as I decelerate rather than smoothly.
-alarm comes on randomly daily
-bonnet sensor keeps telling me the bonnet is open randomly
-warning that my brake pads need changing Although I had them all changed last month.

So I Know people clear codes before removing the jb4... But I do not want to remove these codes.
So can I just remove the JB4 and leave it as is? Or should I clear them?

Best,

josh

Wrong sub-forum!

We (N55 owners) don't have such problems

We only have some "hidden or lost HP" problems...

But maybe somebody here could help you even if you have a N54 ()

Good luck anyway

Leave the codes or they wont know what to fix, as long as there isnt any tuner codes. Going from N54 to N55 has been nice as i never get limp mode!

Whoops... Thanks for that

Can someone move this post to the N54 area please?

What kind of tuner codes? My car is completely stock, just has JB4.

Guys one more thing please.

I removed my JB4 successfully... All is running well.

ONE ISSUE

I did not put the car back on map 0. It was on map 1 (i have no bolt ons) and I left the can flap open before I removed the JB4.

Should this make any difference as it is now removed?

Best,
